Collfin Limited secured this contract following a negotiated tendering process.

The works comprised the alteration and refurbishment of a substantial detached property, the construction of a two storey extension with a Cellar underneath, the demolition of an existing garage and replacement with two storey split-level garage and extensive landscaping to Kitchen Garden and Front Driveway.

The main challenge presented by this project was the restricted access to and from a sloping site. The property was situated at the end of a single width laneway off a residential cul de sac, consequently, the movement of debris, materials and labour had to be co-ordinated in a manner to ensure the minimum of disruption to adjoining properties and neighbours.

One of the features of this project was the installation of a Water Harvesting System designed to supply clean rainwater for garden use. The installation involved the excavation and positioning of a 6000 Litre GRP Tank, a special filter unit, pump, inlet & overflow pipework, electrics and controls.
